    Recovering 360 account on Xbox One


    So I got my Xbox One in June of last year, and at the time was a bit confused as to how to link my 360 account to xbox one and use it so I just made a new account. I now want to gain access to my old 360 account on the One so I can download some games I
    bought on the 360 account to my Xbox one account, but I have no idea how to log into the account. I went to "sign in" and I only get options to make new accounts on the One, not sign into my old 360 account. I looked up the 360 account from the One and it's
    still active so it hasn't been deactivated. Can someone help me here? I don't remember any of the login info for the account

    Live Account over 360 and Xbox One

    At the moment if you go to a mates house you can recover your gamertag on their 360, then when you get home you need to recover your gamertag back to your console (unless you use a USB Stick).

    I am wondering how it will work with the xboxone? As I dont want to keep recovering my Gamertag everytime I move from my 360 to the xbox one and back again. Will it let you have your account on both machines at the sametime?

    I downloaded mw2 onto my xbox one and now its saying (after recovering my account) that I need live to play on my old Xbox 360 account. Do I seriously need to fork out another 60+ bucks to play live on my xbox 360 when i have live for my xbox one?

    Hello, yes this is the case, you first need to add all of the accounts on your own XBOX 360 (the XBOX 360 where the Family membership is purchased) by recovering the gamertags to the XBOX 360. Then add them to the family account, after that process is complete
    the other family members are free to recover their accounts back to their own XBOX 360's.

    So how will I be able to recover a non Xbox live account from Xbox 360? All I want is to put one of my 360 accounts to the Xbox one but it isn’t signed up on Xbox live so it’s quite literally impossible unless there’s some other way I haven’t heard of..

    Sorry to hear it. You'll need to call phone support for more assistance with this. So long as you can answer some account specific questions they will give you the email for the account. From there you can change the password for it.

    I would assume you don't need a USB to transfer your three accounts from the 360 to the one. You just need to recover/add account on your xbox one and that should be it.
