    I couldn't add more information, so created a new question, but the issue happened again. I didn't lose a lot of data, but probably 5-6 hours worth of game time, which is frustrating having to do things over. This time I had logged on and my xbox one
    had a black screen with a spinner in the middle. I waited about 5 minutes and then just manually forced a shutdown. After the restart, it initiated an update that had 3 steps, download, verify and installing. It took maybe 20 minutes but everything was
    successful. I started my Assassin's Creed Odyssey from the latest save and noticed it was old. I looked at the load menu and it again was missing data. I have been exiting out of the game since the first incident, so I don't know how to force it to save
    my local data to the cloud so I avoid this issue?

    This game has a feature that when you pause it, you can do a "quick save". That's what I normally do. I don't know if this just saves local and maybe that is why xbox shutdowns lose the data? Today I started, instead of doing a quick save, going to
    the menu, clicking "save" and then you have the choice to pick a new save spot, or overwrite an existing. Maybe this saves to the cloud?

    I don't know, but I don't want to lose data anymore. How do you ensure data is saved to the cloud when exiting a game? When you go to the home menu, do you have to click the game image and select "exit"?

    Hi there,

    I'm afraid that if you didn't keep a backup on any other device that all the save data is lost since there is no way to recover it. Some games do save certain progress online, but any local saved games are most likely lost.

    Did you delete any Borderlands 2 game save data? If not then a call you support is in order, though recover of your lost data is not possible.

    Which one do you want to use? Locally saved vs. cloud saved game data?

    it's more common than the data in the cloud is the latest, but maybe to recover your data you need to start the game again and choose the data saved locally

    Thanks for your post. I'm sorry to hear that the data has not been able to be recovered. Have you attempted to check the save file for past versions? Windows 10 does include some file recovery features that can asses the situation. Usually, if a game save
    has been lost due to a power outage or a similar event, the data can be corrupted and lost. If methods available can not recover the saved data, it may be that said data is gone.

    mincraft deleted map recovery

    As Black Dragon 00 said, there is no way to recover deleted save data from your Xbox or Xbox LIVE currently. All save data for games, including Minecraft, is stored locally (unless you store it to Cloud which is on an Xbox LIVE server) and deleted save data
    cannot be recovered. Once saves are deleted, you can't redownload them.

    Saves can't be redownloaded from Download History/Purchase History because saves are created locally by the game. Sorry bud.
