    update

    any one know why i cant recover gamer tag to my other xbox?used to do it with recover gametag now it says recover profile and it keeps saying xbox live profiles cant be downloaded now and a error code of 80070005 and this had happend scince the update last
    week any one got any ideas....cheers .

    Connect existing xbox live account to existing xbox 360 profile

    you can only recover a xbox live profile

    profiles cannot be merged

    you can either join xbox live via the existing profile or recover your existing xbox live profile

    If he had recovered the profile elsewhere this one would be inactive

    Support can help with remotely removing/disabling a profile? One way to do it would be to go to a different Xbox 360 and use Account Recovery, which will prevent any other copies of the profile from signing in to Xbox Live. If you bring a USB flash
    drive (1GB or greater), you can put the recovered profile on that and keep it with you. (Or just delete it from the console you recover it on, but then you'll have to Recover it again when you want to use it.)

    Alright, Bdoubleblade, before I send this along, can you try one more thing? Try recovering your profile. No need to delete the old profile, just recover it. :)
