you can only recover a xbox live profile

profiles cannot be merged

you can either join xbox live via the existing profile or recover your existing xbox live profile

Microsoft account website? Did you purchase Xbox Live Gold with a debit/credit card, or did you redeem a prepaid code for it? Do you see the transaction for the subscription refunded

Xbox one. Did a reset to attempt glitch fix. The profile in xbox was there after the reset.

gold-live account is Gone and all associated progress etc.(account was pod for).

Cant reactivate? Its as if that live subscription(that was paid for the year) is gone.

Tried a new membership and then link to existing account, that said “already linked”.

sorry im no expert here but lost alot of $.

please anyone??

Thanks for posting on the Xbox forums. We need a little more information to make sure we provide the correct solution. Are you using an Xbox One or an Xbox 360? It appears as though the profile is not on the console so it must be downloaded back to
it. This involves using the email address and password to recover the account. We have a support article that provides

information on how to recover an account if you need help with remembering the email address or password. Be sure to let us know the results

@Sonic: When a profile is recovered from Live it deactivates the previous version. These people aren't recovering it from Live though.

From what I've read by downloading the profile from a website, rather than recovering it from Live with the details, it allows people to use it on multiple consoles at the same time.
