    Recover old gamer tag.


    I would like to sign in to my old gamer tag that used my AOL email address with. I don't remember the password for my old gamer tag. I could change it, but I don't remember the password to access my old AOL email account to complete the process of changing my password! Would I have to call customer service for something like this?

    Could you elaborate a bit more on what exactly is the status of your son's account?

    Is the account currently on the console, or are you unable to add the account to your console due to not having enough info? The link provided to you by XBF

    Yes they were live accounts that's why they had gamer tags. A few years ago you can set up a gamer tag on the Xbox without the link to a Microsoft account so how do you recover these old gamer tags without a Microsoft account?

    Sorry you are not able to transfer GS to a new Gamer Tag.

    You would be better off recovering the old account with it's email/password.
