1. Make a copy of the corrupted world folder & all files & folders inside, and rename it however you please. ...
2. Start Minecraft and create a new world, then save and close Minecraft. ...
3. Go back to Application Data\. ...
4. Cut the files (but not the folders) from the new saved world folder.

Just to confirm, is this related to Minecraft bedrock / for windows. Right?

Usually you have two ways to export / backup a Minecraft world.

The first one is clicking on "Edit" world, scroll down to the bottom and click on "Export world" (This is the best option, do it regularly)

The second one, go to this path: LocalState\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds

Once there your should be able to see a folder(s) with random letters and symbol. Copy the entire folder(s) and paste it in the same local path:

Open the run window (Press windows key + R) type %appdata% and hit enter

The full path is:

Local\Packages\"Microsoft.MinecraftUWPxxxxxxxxxxx"\LocalState\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds

Paste each world folder there

Re-open Minecraft and check

Edit: I was double checking your shared folder... sadly you don't have the "games" folder inside LocalState :c

This means that you can't recover the world in this case

Edit 2: When you said "the PC failed" , failed in what way? The PC doesn't boot up? The hard drive is broken or if you connect it externally to a different PC it isn't recognized?

Thanks for reaching out to us, I can provide you some details on what you're looking for. The Minecraft worlds are located within the drive itself. As recommended below, if you're looking to get that world off of the old Dell Laptop, then you'd want to
remove the drive and see if you can obtain a case to turn that drive to an external drive in order for you to recover the files. Once that's been completed, there will be a few steps needed to locate and recover the world.

Go to your start menu and search run. Alternatively you can press the Windows button + R.

Type "%appdata%" then press OK.

Go into your .minecraft folder, then your saves folder, then (if you remember the name of your deleted world) copy paste the world folder into the same saves folder.

Go back into Minecraft and play your recovered Minecraft world.
