    Good evening,

    My boyfriend and I have had a lot of trouble trying to recover our old gamertags. At one point, we had the matching gamertags: His Past and Her Past. We decided to change them one day, however, we wanted to keep the gamertags for future use. We made two
    new emails and put the gamertags on each, silvering them so we could have them for later. We came back to the accounts and were gonna change them back to the old gamertags. I got my old gamertag: His Past back, but when my boyfriend went to sign in to get
    his back, the gamertag was changed and we aren't sure what had happened to it. We've had these gamertags for a while now and they are very dear to us. We would really love help getting the gamer tag Her Past back. Thank you for your time.

    i put it on my usb stick before i sent in my xbox for repairs last month. when i got it back and put it back in, no problems occured so i'm wondering if there's another problem with the account

    i went to my friends house to recover my gamertag i did but then when i got home it wont let me recover my gamertag after where it says are you sure you want to exit it my screen gets black then says then game could not play and im not trying to play a game
    i want to recover my account someone help me please!

    Thanks for the reply! I created a new MS account (hotmail address). I used the steps but am getting the following error:

    "Sorry, we can't change your Microsoft account right now."

    I am assuming I am getting this error since the 'new' gamertag () that was created is less than 30 days old. Is this correct?

    If this is correct, after 30 days I can move the "" gamertag to my new MS account. Once that is done, how do I get the old GT (TheBigMcNasty) associated with it's email address, or now, the email address that "" was moved away
    from?

    The RECOVER ACCOUNT tool is not meant to be used daily and over time can cause a profile to become corrupt rendering it useless. You should invest in an XBOX COMPATIBLE USB FLASH DRIVE and store your profile on that. That way when you go to your friends
    house all you have to do is plug it and go.
