recover gamertag

Hello,so two years ago i deleted my ms account now two years late got a xbox one and created a new account but now i want my old gamertag back so thinking my old account had been deleted i tried to change my gamertag to my old gamertag but got a message
that "that gamertag has already been taken" then i searched about that gamertag and found out that my old account hadnt been deleted yet and then when i tried to log in to my old account it said " there is no account by that email address". so i guess that
old ms account got deleted but not the xbl account as i can still see my old gamertag,acchivement,account description and all.so is there any way to recover that old xbl account or the gamertag now by deleting that old xbl account so that gamertag be available
to put in my new account?

Live Account over 360 and Xbox One

At the moment if you go to a mates house you can recover your gamertag on their 360, then when you get home you need to recover your gamertag back to your console (unless you use a USB Stick).

I am wondering how it will work with the xboxone? As I dont want to keep recovering my Gamertag everytime I move from my 360 to the xbox one and back again. Will it let you have your account on both machines at the sametime?

Recover Gamertag

@prince: If you don't know the WLID, you cannot recover the account. You can try calling phone support (support.xbox.com/contact-us) to see if they can assist you further.

@death: First, you cannot be hacked. Second, having your account compromised is not the same as forgetting your WLID. Third, contact phone support (support.xbox.com/contact-us) to start an Unauthorized

there is no way that you can remove a Microsoft account they don't delete or remove

So the only way that you can recover that gamertag is if u know the gammertag and Microsoft account call Xbox Support and they help you to recover account

I have multiple Xbox's in my house, and use a USB stick to move my gamertag between consoles all the time. It works brilliantly.

It's quicker than recovering the gamertag. You can play straight away rather than waiting for it to recover.

It's safer than recovering the gamertag. Your gamertag will always be with you, rather than someone else's Xbox, who thinks it would be "funny" to change your Avatar colour to blue.

It's more reliable than recovering the gamertag. If there is a connection problem when recovering the gamertag, you can corrupt the gamertag.

Delete the Gamertag from the Xbox 360 Console. Only delete the Gamertag. Recover the Gamertag. You will need the Windows Live ID and Password to Recover that account.

A Salty Fluffy

Have you attempted resetting your password through your email? There should be a hyperlink beneath the sign-in page. From there, it will ask you some of the personal questions that you listed when you created your account, then send a reset link to your
email.

If you don't have access to your email, then you may not be able to get the account back, unless you are lucky enough to go through an xbox official.
