    Recover gamertag from Xbox 360


    I used to have an XBOX 360 but changed to PS4. Now I'm going back to Xbox Series X. When I signed in with my previous account used for Xbox, it generated a new random gamertag, when I went to change
    it, it gave me my old gamertag but with a number after it. I want my original gamertag back. How can I do that?

    Delete the Gamertag from the Xbox 360 Console. Only delete the Gamertag. Recover the Gamertag. You will need the Windows Live ID and Password to Recover that account.

    after 2 years of not signing into any xbox live services then the gamertag account is closed and then split from the microsoft account, if after 5 years of not using the microsoft account then that gets closed.
