    My brothers friends were deleted from his xbox without his permission.

    Is there a way to recover the people from his friends list if he doesnt know all of the exact gamertags?

    Is there any way to recover a previous version of ones account?

    I'm afraid in order to re add his friends, you really need to know the gamertags as there's no feature right now to transfer the friends list from one account to another.

    However if you get disconnected from the live you won't have access to your friend list.

    Now if your brother loaned his account time to teach him about taking care of his stuff

    Deleting Profile Question.

    You cant permanently delete, only MS can do that. When you delete the profile of your or your friends Xbox, it just removes the information from that console itself.

    .

    But you will be fine recovering it on your friends console and deleting it when you are done.
