    my son recently removed my email address from his xbox account, now for some reason its deleted my emails can't recover it as it says email not recognised, can't create one as it says email already in use, all my stuff is linked to it and can't even change passwords as they are linked to it, i can't get chat help as it keeps pushing me round and round in circles, hopefully someone can help

    Yep that’s exactly what happened, thank you for you help, although I couldn’t get it back at least i know why, guess it helps to read the small print, it’ll never happen again to me though

    Hi, my email disappeared off my iphone at the same time, i cant log into it as it say its not recognised, but when i do a username search, all my others come up but not that one
    Was the email that got removed a Microsoft email? If it was then removing it from the account would have deleted it permanently. If this is what happened then unfortunately the email account would be forever lost.

    Warning When removing an email alias that’s connected to a Microsoft domain (such as @Outlook.com, @Live.com, or @Hotmail.com), that email is completely deleted from our systems and can’t be used to send or receive emails. It won’t be available for use again as an alias on another account. Microsoft doesn’t recycle email addresses, so it can’t be reclaimed at a future time.
