Recover Disk Space after uninstalling games from Game Pass

Long back, I installed games in my system to try out something new in these Conorna DAYS! I did not know this would be such a headache to uninstall these games and recover the space.

Now, when I rick click on the C -drive, it shows that the Used space is 87.5 GB of the total of 93.5 GB. When selecting all C-drive files, then right-click to get to the Properties to check the disk space, I see the total used space is only 72.4 GB! (FYI:
I have checked the "View->Hidden Items" box)

Now, when I open WindowsKEY->Setting->System->Storgae, I can see that 49.7 GB is taken by "Apps and Features" and 37.3 GB is for "System and reserved." These numbers add up to ~87GB.

I do not understand where are those files in my system. I suspect these files are due to the installation of the game. I checked for a few online solutions where people asked me to look into ProgramFile/WindowsAPP after getting the correct permission. Few
of them asked to look for gigantic files in these folders or look for folder name "Deleted". I could not find any big files! I tried the disk cleanup that many had recommended. No USE!

    Can anyone give some directions?

    :)

Metro Exodus - Launch nothing happens PC

HERE IS A WORKING SOLUTION TO Metro Exodus crashing in XBOX Game pass for PC. This worked for me 100% each time the game crashed, and after trying to uninstall it I got stuck with unplayable game, unremovable game files. I went through points 1-5. I managed
to beat the game after several crashes and remove it recovering 60 GB disk space ;) .

So if anyone has issues with Metro Exodus crashing on PC/XBOX GAME PASS and is unable to sucessfully uninstall the game and free the disk space do this:

    1. Uninstall XBOX Game Pass for PC APP
    2. go to your Windows 10 Update Menu and Press Update
    3. restart Windows
    4. Install Xbox game pass App again
    5. Open Xbox game pass App and Press Install Metro Exodus (it will not take long because the game is already there, just a tiny part of it will be brought back).
This way the game should be playable again or , if you wish you may NOW finally unistall it and free your disk space.

This will not stop the ME from crashing but will make it playable und uninstallable :)

The tricky part is that when the game crashes and we want to uninstall it, some part of the Windows update is removed with it but not the game so the disk space cannot be freed nor game started untill you do the points 1-5 and get your Windows updated again.

This problem has been known for a few weeks now but no patch from XBOX so far.

I hope this will help :)

Unable to play "Installed" games from GamePass PC ( I'm Lost)

I am able to install games on Game Pass for PC, but if i have uninstalled them except for ones I've actually bought I will get Error Code: 0x80070057. Searching this error for Game Pass has resulted in stuff saying it has to do with disk space, I have
way more than enough space for any game and I even tried to put it on another drive still the same error.

    Hi !

Do you have Game Pass or did you try it recently ? It may be linked...

Uninstall all the files games (Warzone included) and restart the installation from the disk not from the Store.

    FIFA 15 refuses to install

Thanks for the reply - from my original post - you can see i have already tried installing offline.

Its not a space issue - i now have over 125gb of free space on the drive and other games will happily uninstall and re-install from both digital and disk based copies.

Because the disk version doesnt include the files after launch. This could include updates or new content available for the base version. This happens in all games, the disks usually are all made before the launch and they do not get updated, and besides
that the disk cannot contain all data from a game that have a lot of space, usually more of 30GB. As you can understand, the disk doesnt have infinite space, and with the current time big games doesnt have all content in the disk, just a part of it.
