    Hi. I just bought an xbox one, and I'd like to transfer my previous xbox 360 account on my new console. However, the email that was used to login in my account is now deleted, since the email has been hacked. When I try to use it in Outlook by example, it
    says that the account does not exist. What can I do to recover my previous account? Thank you.

    Please help

    Call MS tech support and see of they have a backup they can recover from their cloud. But, you should have used a guest account to begin with.

    Recover account

    Do you still own or have access to your Xbox 360? Can you check if your profile saved on the console is an "offline profile"?

    I'm asking because if it's indeed local (or offline), you can link it to a newly-created Microsoft account by following the steps found here: Turn Xbox Offline Profile into a Gamertag | Join Xbox Live.

    Otherwise, you could try heading over to the Settings tab, selecting Profile, then Account Security, and finally, Change Microsoft Account to link to a new account. I'm not sure if this would work, though, as it might give you a "The password you entered
    isn't valid" error or something else when asked for your current sign in details. And in that case, maybe you're out of luck, sorry.

    Official support is of course a thousand times more knowledgeable than me, so you might want to try reaching out to them on Twitter. They're very helpful and responsive there, too.

    The account information is 100% your responsibility. When you pay for a service, you want to make sure you have all your info, right? Xbox Live support cannot help because this is a Microsoft Account issue - it's not Xbox Live's fault you forgot your email.
    Best I can say I to try the password reset at
    https://account.live.com     with any emails you can think of - eventually, you'll find the right one.

    It's best for a situation like this if you reach out to the Microsoft Account Team to see if they can assist with correcting the spelling error on your e-mail. Unfortunately, this wouldn't be something that a forum support agent would be able to do for you.

    Your best bet is to contact Xbox support, either via the phone number or the support chat/email options. Without the old email or password, it can be difficult, so you'll probably need other identifying information like the name on the account, birthdate,
    anything else you may have entered there. The US phone number is 1-800-4MY-XBOX.
