ReCore Launch Trailer: Anyone Picking This Up?

Got this on my boomerang list as it's single player only but now i'm not getting Battlefield I may buy it as it's only about £25 or so or wait until the end of the year when there's no other game releases.

No mate,not at launch anyway.

Demo put me off & to be honest I probably wont be playing much once Star Trek Online comes out.

 

I'm actually not surprised, I'm the same. Loved the Alpha, Beta was terrible cancelled my pre order too. I'm getting Gears, Recore and Titanfall 2. We're a Trekkie household, so probably that also.

 

I was very interested in ReCore right up until a few days ago and more footage of actual Game-play was released. Since then it has plummeted from a "must buy" to "maybe get when cheap". Wow, I have no idea what happened this Generation
with all the play it safe Games and Remasters.

Some of the most hyped Games this Gen have been nothing more then boring 3rd Person Shooters with Feature X thrown in on top to make it a unique snow-flake.

 

Don't have any interest in Recore from what I've seen, might look when its a bit cheaper if Im stuck for something to play.

 

Will be picking this up at launch, looks right up my street

 

TheRedDragon did a pretty telling youtube video on games such as this one. Might be to your benifit to watch and consider before spending $ on ReCore.

I had no interest in this until the average/bad reviews started popping up, surprisingly once I'd watched them it had the opposite effect and made me quite interested so I'm going to grab it - for a shade over £20 it'd be rude not to

 

Hard to believe that one of my most wanted games of the year looks to be receiving indifferent (or mixed) reviews. It's currently sitting at 63 on Metacritic, and I can't see that changing anytime soon. It almost breaks my heart to think that a new, original
IP like this will be written off by many. Whether or not the critics have tarred it with the same brush as Inafune's last (Mighty No. 9 - oof!) is debatable, but it won't dissuade me from judging by my own criteria.

I watched some streamers playing it last night, and it certainly looks like my kinda game. Guess you can't please everyone!

We're still waiting for Rated S 4 Sexy and
Sexy Vampirella's take on the game.

A LOT of people hate the games that I love, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying them. I totally understand you

Ignore what others think about the games that you love, because at the end of the day it is what you think of the games that you play that is the most important thing.

I do not come here to the forums and pretend to like things that I don't like. I tell things as they are. I have been ripped to shreds A LOT for being honest about my opinions about games and gaming.

Just because a game is popular and beloved by a lot of people, it doesn't mean that it will apply to everyone.

Here is how things go (unfortunately).

A popular game gets a negative opinion about it, the people who love that game will destroy you for not joining the herd and lying about it to fit in with the rest.

^Rubbish you played a game Alien Isolation that every person on here who had played it told you exactly what it was like and how you COULD NOT SHOOT THE ALIEN. You then played it and complained repeatedly over and over about how it wasn't Colonial Marines
and got appropriate reactions to that. You were not "eviscerated" or "ripped to shreds" by anyone.
