Recore Banjo Kazooie nuts and bolts redeem code not working

Purchased Recore on xbox one preorder which was meant to include Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. The redeem code didn't work, and after chatting with xbox support, they informed me that the code can only be redeemed on an xbox 360. I said I'd assumed it was
backwards compatible seeing as I bought it on an Xbox One, then they changed their mind and said that the code was only redeemable in the United States. I'm in Australia. So then they sent me to this forum, post something and that I would recieve a new code
within 48 hrs from Promotions Team.

Depends @lethel are you getting 8015017? If so then you need to match your account region to your actual region

If that NL is not the error pls make your own thread so we can tailor it to you

@ op are you getting you cannot make the purchase and you need to buy it on your xbox? If so then your child account can't redeem it ajdncan only be redeemed on a parental account

 

@ngocphi No initially it came up with "Sorry but an unexpected error has occurred. The error has been recorded and we will investigate. Please try again later." This message has come up about 15 times over the last week whenever I try to redeem the code.
Now when I try to redeem the code, after chatting with support, it says, "Something happened on our end. Waiting a bit might help."

 

Have you tried redeeming from the website?

You're welcome. I don't know why it won't work through the console itself. Normally it shouldn't matter.
