Recording with DVR?

Is there a way to record videos longer than 5 minutes? And recording voice at the same time? I'm new to doing videos but I'm trying to record a video that's longer than 5 minutes. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Problem of Game DVR (Recording)

When I start recording with Game DVR (Win + alt + R), it looks working (just 10 seconds). After 10 seconds, recording is stop, and nothing is saved in video folder.

If I finish recording in 10 seconds, nothing is saved, too.

So I can't recording with Game DVR. Can you guess something?

 

Recorded Video Clips have no sound

It's an issue of recording his voice, not the sounds from the game. Any thoughts?

 

No, currently the maximum for Game DVR is five minutes and you would have to record your voiceover afterwards in Upload Studio during editing.

One workaround, if you don't want to go down the route of buying a capture card/device that records to your PC as you play, is to use the Twitch app and broadcast your gameplay. Twitch will save and archive your footage, including your microphone audio,
and from there you can, for example, export it to YouTube.

 

Yes there is for the 5 minute limit but not for the voice over while recording. I have done up to 10 mins by doing the following.

Snap in game DVR and begin a recording.

Unsnap game DVR

When your finished (i only do 10 mins) go back to DVR - It will say something like 5 seconds recorded sometimes it says differently. But if you look in your videos it would of recorded up to 10 mins.

Lots of videos on youtube about doing this method.

On a side note, cmon microsoft about time you tweaked this app. Something like 7k votes for this in forums.
