    Hi guys and gals

    I'm wanting to record a lets play for my youtube channel. I will be using the xbox one x and an external memory card. NO PC. It can record upto 1 hour in 4k 60fps thats fine. I need to know if it will also record my voice through the headset. I don't want
    to broadcast and use party chat record. I just need to record a game session playing on my own onto a memory stick and then edit it on my tab. So my question is will the capture game play also record my voice.

    When you record the Xbox screen, you're not able to record your own voice, just the voice of the players that are currently playing with you. To be able to record your own voice, you can use hardware that is able to record the screen and your voice. You can use a capture card.

    You need to go preferences click on voice were it says voice output click on play through both. This will record everybody of your xbox party. For your voice you need a recording software like audacity to record your voice while playing and then editing
    it into your video and make sure its synced.

    Xbox clips don't record voice/game chat currently. You can record the voice on a different device and then add it to your gameplay, or stream the content trough twitch. You can also use a capture card.

    But if you don't have any equipment, only the Xbox recording feature will not record the game chat/party voice.
