Recording stream on Windows 10, Mic and party sound separated

    Hi!

    My problem is this:

Everything about the recordning works fine, BUT, all my sound is recorded on my laptop and the built in mic is really bad.

Party chat sound is recorded via the Xbox x, when recording the other people in the chat sound normal, but my sound is recorded thru the built in mic on PC. How do I change so my sound also records via the party chat? Should be an easy fix considering Xbox
basically streams all to win 10.

I´ve got headset connected to xbox controller, I get party + game sound via headset when playing, the PC then records all of this on the PC both video, group chat and people in the group but not my sound, it just ads my mic sound in groupchat via PC.

    :)

    Xbox Capture

As others have stated, there is no way to record your audio while using the 'record from now' function.

I stream to mixer and that captures my mics audio, and it's really easy to do too.

The only other alternatives to a capture card is to stream directly from your console to Mixer or Twitch, or use the Xbox App on Windows 10 to stream your console's audio and video to the windows 10 device, then you can use some other software to record,
or stream. ( I hope that made sense).

    Recording on xbox one

As far as I know, you would need a different method to record gameplay with Mic audio with the native capture tools, but built in they only record the game visuals and audio. You can stream and include party chat as the output, and then later pull the
files from there (depending on the platform and settings), but that's not also a reliable method, as sometimes those stream videos might not be available due to bugs or glitches. Reliably, you'd need to use a capture card, or recording via a PC and external
software, or setting up Windows 10 capture and streaming via the Xbox App.

Thanks, but that just shows how to manage the game sound/party sound,

but not how loud your mic is recording...

Xbox App recording has a 40 second limit?

    Hey Evan.

Reading your post, it sounds like you are trying to record game streaming from an Xbox One using GameDVR on Windows 10, correct?

Separating game audio and party audio in the Xbox Console Companion app

I think the best solution you could possibly try,

Use a mobile device with the Xbox App and join the party with that, even with a secondary xbox account, just to record the party chat(if you need to of course, then under OBS you can set that device as one sound source)

Then just record the game play through the companion app like you have been doing.

If you need other ways to split sound's up but from various devices, Windows 10 does have an advanced Sound options under sound settings. You can adjust the sound output/input and volumes there, or you can use Voicemeter Banana to separate sounds.
