Recording on the Xbox One

Discus and support Recording on the Xbox One in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Maybe I'm overthinking this, but as someone who wants to potentially start a gaming channel, I do think its bad that I have to do a ton of extra steps...     Recording on the Xbox One


    Maybe I'm overthinking this, but as someone who wants to potentially start a gaming channel, I do think its bad that I have to do a ton of extra steps just to record something decent on my Xbox One. I can't even record with my mic without using another
    app or software on my pc. Why is that a thing? Why can't I just record on my Xbox, (For more than 10 minutes and with my mic), and then just export it from the xbox to my pc.

    Xbox one does not record anything coming in thru the HDMI in port....it only records actual xbox one gameplay.

    Cant stream xbox one guide to my pc anymore

    I use one guide to stream other consoles to my pc using the xbox console companion then use recording software to record them and I was not trying to record live tv using one guide to copy tv shows I use one guide so I can record my other game consoles
    because I dont have a hdmi recorder xbox one guide is the only way for me to record my other consoles.

    Yeah but the thing is I want to record Xbox 360 gameplay so that's basically the same as recording Xbox One gameplay so that not like record TV shows or DVD's.

    For number 1, depends on the resolution that you want to record clips.

    On Xbox One X you can record up to 30 seconds on 4K, but when posted, they will we downgraded to 1080p.

    On Xbox One S you can record up to 2 minutes on 1080p.

    On Xbox you can record up to 15 minutes on 780p.

    On the games that can't be recorded, we're yet to find if there is such list.
