Recording Gameplay for YouTube

Hello,

I am interested in recording my gameplay and sharing it on YouTube. I've read a bit about this. Everything that I've seen says you need to get a capture card. My question is, with a Windows 10 machine, could't I use the streaming feature and record my gameplay
directly on my PC? This would make editing easier id think.

^ That would be cool but I doubt it will happen. I've always thought about recording gameplay for Youtube, i'd probably do it if I wasn't studying.

A lot more people including Stampy, lewisblogsgaming, etc on YouTube, use a PVR. Hauppauge (Hauppauge HD PVR2) and Elgato are the biggest brands. Sure it will set you back by about $200. But it's great. My Hauppauge HD PVR2, records PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One,
PS4 Pro gameplay, and what's better, it records game chat and party chat voices too. And there's no 5 or 30 minute time restrictions which Xbox One's DVR thingy has, it doesn't even record game music and voice chatter (party/game chat) either! Don't be cheap.
Get a Hauppauge or an Elgato. I'm also a Youtuber and got several of my friends involved in my YouTube videos too! Yes it's a hobby. Lots of people like sharing to YouTube since it's the biggest video blogging thingy what-have-you provider. Twitch? yeah, I
don't use it, a lot of people don't use it out of the what 8 billion people on our planet. YouTube rocks.

From the sound of it, you want to record your gameplay for YouTube? The YouTube app does not have that option. The only way you could to that is to record your gameplay using either the record that option on the Xbox, or invest in a video capture device for your pc, which you can connect your Xbox to, so you can record the videos for YouTube.

No and No. However you can upload your recorded gameplay to youtube if you upload it to skydive. How did you get it to record the entire 5 minutes though? Whenever I tell it to record something it only records for like 30 seconds.

no sorry the xbox doesnt record gameplay by its self, only certain games like black ops 2, black ops, mw3 and halo record gameplay. Also dirt 3 allows you to upload a clip of your racing to youtube.

if you want to record gameplay from other games you have to get a video capture card which attaches to the console and computer or laptop.
