    Quick Question about Xbox One

    Hello Everyone!

Quick question about Xbox One and recording devices. Will recording devices still function with the new Xbox, devices such as capture modules like Hauppauge HD PVR, Elgato Game Capture and other recording devices that directly connect to the console and
    a PC/Mac.

    Thanks

Which Capture Cards work on Xbox One?

I have an Elgato game capture device that I can hook up to the Xbox One easily enough. The only thing that doesn't work is the TV when the device is connected (likely to prevent people from recording television programs on their Xbox One's).

Hi there there already is a way to capture in game footage by using the "xbox record that" command it will allow you to capture up to 5 minutes of gameplay.

I have a Roxio Game Capture HD Pro too and I had a little trouble getting it to record at first, but finally figured it out. Try turning off the Xbox One by holding in the power button on the console until the power brick light turns orange (if you can't
see your brick just hold it in for about 10 seconds). It doesn't matter if the console is on or off when you hold it in, it will shut down completely. Turn it back on (you'll have to use the console button or controller, voice won't work when it's completely
off). It will take longer than normal to turn back on and will show the Xbox logo on a green background for about 30 seconds or so. Once it is back on, connect your Roxio Game Capture HD Pro and it should now work (make sure you select "HDMI" for the input
    for recording).

The reason you have to do a complete shutdown is because of the encrypted HDMI signal to keep people from recording TV or movies (which is good). The encryption turns on once you run a video app: TV, Netflix, Amazon Video, etc. And once it is on it will
stay on even after you shut down the console, unless you do a complete shutdown. Once you do a complete shutdown it removes the encryption and allows you to record all you want. Any time you run a video app you'll need to do this again.

Hope this helps. Recording Device on Xbox One :D

    tv

Are you wanting to record shows from the TV, or gameplay?

If it's gameplay, you would need an external video capture device and software to record the gameplay.

If it's TV programs, no. Live TV cannot be recorded from an Xbox One.

Xbox One S Compatibility with Hauppauge TV Tuner for Xbox One

I have a similar device, the Hauppauge pvr2. when you say the Xbox one S is not recognizing the device, make sure that the USB is going to your computer, not the Xbox one S, the HDMI out goes into your tv. and the HDMI in is from the system to the device.
The USB goes from the device to the computer. have the correct drivers on the PC and you should be able to start recording.
