    can you help me please? we are in Perth, Australia & have just bought a new xbox live gold membership from ebay. We are now having trouble connecting to xbox live gold, we've done all the tests (restarted modem, reconnected to wireless etc) its the connection
    to the xbox that is the problem. There is definitely no problem with my internet as I have other devices plugged in and working but still no luck? please help me (I have a very sad son who can't play!)

    any advice would be appreciated. thanks.

  5. Well we've recently just bought a new Xbox live gold membership. We have been through the site and redeemed code which says it's working. But now we can't seem to connect to Xbox live gold. This issue has only just started since we've reissued the new code.
    We can log in but then says that it couldn't connect to live gold saying there is a connection problem. It goes to testing the connection which goes all the way through until the Internet to Xbox connection. We've tried turning off the modern and resetting
    everything and the more times we retest the connection keeps going back so then it says it's internet problem to then not even being able to log in.

    We tried all the suggestions yesterday and can't seem to find the issue. It isn't that I don't have Internet connection as while trying all this last night I was logged in to my computer reading from the Xbox website on how to fix it.

    It would be so much easier to explain this over the phone. Do Xbox have people you can actually talk to?

    Any advice would be appreciated. My son is missing his Xbox! Thanks.

    Please follow these steps to test your Xbox Live Connection:

    Settings > System > Network Settings > Select your wireless or wired network > Test Xbox Live Connection.

    If the Xbox Live connection test is unsuccessful, enter the link below to see the possible solution:

    We've tried these solutions a few times. Don't know why it isn't working. Xbox live gold isn't connecting to my internet. I have Internet connection. That's not the issue.

    We've disconnected and reconnected the wireless connection at least five times but still Xbox can't connect? Any other clues please?

    On the Xbox Live Connection Test there is an option to identify the cause of the issue, it can be a DNS Error, NAT Error, Live Connection Error, ICMP Error, etc. Each one has different steps you can follow to find the solution. I suggest that you contact

    Hello,

    Sadly some code redeems are instant and others can take up to 24 hours. This can be frustrating.

    The interesting thing is that even with the free LIVE you should still have been able to connect to XBOX. Gold just restricts you from playing online if you don't have it.
