Reclaiming Beta Gamertag

I had the gamertag [Mod Removed] during the Xbox Live Beta, but let that account lapse. I would like to reclaim that gamertag if at all possible. I had attempted to change my gamertag, but I receive the message "Sorry, that gamertag is
now reserved. Try another one." I also attempted to add it as a friend, but receive a message that it does not exist.

I have been in contact with the Live chat support area and they confirmed it was not associated with a Live account and directed me here for further assistance due to the "reserved" message concerning this gamertag.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Reclaiming Old Xbox account

I have an original xbox live account from the original xbox that I'm unable to access. I know all of the information on the account except for the last 4 of the credit card I used. So I've had this 8 year old xbox live account that I got in the beta with
the "I've got great hands shirt" and all, and I have never been able to reclaim the gamertag. I recently saw something from major nelson about reclaiming old gamertags that people have never owned for a fee. I cant get that to work and I still cant reclaim
it through the normal process. Is there anyway this account can be reclaimed?

yes. i had attempted to add shooter as a friend to see if it was available but it said it did not exist, but when i tried to change my gamertag to shooter it indicated it was a reserved gamertag

The Enforcement Team only watches the account ban forum. They are not going to free up a gamertag for you if they locked it. There's pretty much no one in Xbox Support who can make gamertags available.
