recieving hate for gamertag

hello i was refered here by a xbox support chat agent because i told her i have been recieving alot of hate on xbox live for my gamertag and i have reported a few who have been doing so i would like to request a gamertag change for this reason. thank you

He isn't getting hate for his gamertag.

There is a stupid rumour on certain sites that you can get a free name change by claiming that people are harassing you.

It doesn't work of course but it doesn't stop people from trying.

File a complaint on the people through your console. Mute and block them through your console. Set communications to friends only. That's all you need to do to stop harassment.

well his first post said he was level M which is moderator but either way that shouldnt be exceptable on these forums

 

Yeah, Vote always has the level of the person above, it's messed up.

I'm thinking the same thing though. I don't see why anyone would hate on your gamertag. Do you have any examples of what kind of harassment you're receiving?

People post topics like these quite regularly, the overwhelming majority is just scum lying for a free tag change.

 

alot of it is making fun of how its spelled mainly i just wish i could change it its really hard to communicate with team mates online im actually overwhelmed on how much its happened

 

I can imagine people laughing at him being dense for not knowing how to spell scissors, so I think I believe him. There doesn't seem to be any way to get out of paying MS for a change tho, so if stopping the harassment is worth $10 to you, just do it and
forget about it.

 

If he had spelt it right he would have ran out of letters,it was deliberate not a spelling mistake.

 

No he wouldnt have ran out of spaces. Its deliberate because the tag already exists spelt correctly

That's without the spaces, with spaces it would be more than 15 characters. Either way, it's obvious that it's deliberate. Anyone too dense to realize that and too immature to not make fun of it isn't worth worrying over.
