    Rechargable batteries problem.


    After getting the series X i used the batteries provided for a few days but after they died i switched to my rechargable batteries, turns out it doesnt quite fit the new xbox controller. To be clear, the rechargable batteries themselves fit and the controller
    works but the back part that goes with the rechargable batteries doesnt fit so you have to use the controller with the batteries exposed. Thought it might be because the special back for the batteries is a little thicker so i tried the series x back, that
    also couldnt cover the batteries sadly.

    It would appear a slight change to the shape of the controller has made it a little too small so for now, better off to stick with xbox one controller and rechargable batteries since i personally am not willing to go buy batteries from a store every week just
    to keep the new controller running with a back on it.

    This post was more to let people know that this could be an issue for them although i'm away i only have one brand's charging station/batteries so if you have a rechargable battery (and charging station) that fits the new controller please let me know cause
    I'd love to make the change.

    I suggest you try a test using regular batteries or rechargeable batteries to see if the problem is with your controls or your original batteries.

    Interesting. My problem only seems to happen with certain sets of my rechargeable AA batteries. I have a whole bunch of rechargeables and some of them exhibit this problem and some do not. They all show as full on the battery meter on the Xbox settings menu.

    I had this problem when I was using rechargeable batteries. I switch to standard batteries and did not have any problems. Since that time, I have started use a new brand of rechargeable batteries and no longer have the issue. Also, you can use the Accessory
    App to see if there are any updates for the controller.

    If the problems continue and it´s annoying for you I suggest that you could disassemble your play & charge kit in order to extract the Rechargeable batteries, and use them as any other Rechargeable batteries.

    I bought these Varta Rechargeable batteries, they last ages and they come with a recharger, the batteries can be recharged up to 999 times.
