Recently updated page isn't refreshing until the console is shut down on Beta Ring

I know you said without XBOX, but thought I'd advise how you take your console out of the Insiders from within the Insider Hub on the console or at least drop down to a lower ring.

After you load hub under Announcements you will see what ring (Beta) your in..

Click to manage and/or exit from the previews.

At of today you would have to factory refresh if you leave but could go down to Delta without a refresh.

If you go down a ring wait until the Omega ring OS version is the same and go down to there which has fewer updates and is nearly about to be released as a General release.

Can I ask if your console is a part of the Xbox Insider Program? If so, there have been some reports that certain functions, like simply playing a game, can cause your Xbox to shut down/crash. Please see either of these pages for more info:

"System:

Some users have reported the console shutting down unexpectedly while using Netflix.

Some users have reported the console shutting down while playing games.

Note: The console may take longer to reboot/shut down than normal. This is expected behaviour, please do not power off the console manually. There is essential information being collected to investigate the cause of the issue."

Sorry your activity feed isn't updating. If manually refreshing the feed doesn't work try doing a hard reset on your console. To do this with the console on, hold the power button for about 8 seconds until it shuts off. After that turn it back on and see
if your feed starts updating.

Sorry to hear it. Please head over to Settings to ensure you don't have an update to the console pending. If there isn't then try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down.

Instead of leaving the Xbox Insider program as one Ambassador has suggested you can drop down to a lower ring which receives much fewer updates. For example if you are in Beta ring drop down to Delta or Omega. The Omega ring receives the fewest updates,
usually just before it is released to the general public. This can be managed using the Xbox Insider Hub on your console.
