Recently purchased HyperX Cloud headset and I can barely hear my teammates

The end of the cord splits into two, one for the microphone and one for the game sound. The headset came with a splitter that allows me to plug into the 3.5mm slot on one of the newer controllers. The sound for the game comes through fine, but when I get
in a party chat with my friends they sound incredibly feint (like I can just barely make out someone is talking).

I have tried messing around with the volume options in the Xbox settings like the Chat Mixer, but I can't seem to increase the volume of my teammates. It seems like the splitter is degrading the output, but that is just a guess at this point.

HELP With HyperX Cloud II Headset

Hello I was recently given a HyperX Cloud II headset and I was trying it out on Minecraft Xbox One Edition with my cousin and I could hear him but he could not hear me. I have looked around all over the internet for the past 2 hours for a solution but nothing
is working. Please if you can help that will be appreciated I already bought an Xbox one headset adapter but that did not help. Thank you!

 

Issue with Party Chat cutting on headset

Issue:

While playing Battlefield One sometimes chat stops working on my headset. I can still hear sound but no chat. If I pull out the headset I can hear the chat on my Kinnect. Plug back the headset and I hear the sound but no chat. This happens with multiple
controllers and headsets.

I have had this problem with the following configurations:

XBOX One Original Controller with Microsoft Chat Headset

New Xbox Controller with Kingston HyperX Cloud X head set

New Xbox Controller with Kingston HyperX Cloud X head set

The chat works fine 85% of the time but when it cuts out I don't realize it for a while because I can still hear sound.

Pulling out the headset and plugging back in works very rarely but sometimes, but the chat usually cuts out again.

I figured it might be a network issue, perhaps latency but I recently hardwired the xbox and I still have the issue. I bought a new headset because I thought the XBOX Chat Headset was broken. I bought a new controller because i needed the 3.5 jack and
didn't want to buy an adapter for a 3rd of the price of a new controller.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I'd recommend you check out the sound mixer in the Audio settings of your console:
Troubleshoot Sound | Xbox One System (third option is what I'd start with). That doesn't work, check some of the other troubleshooting steps on that
page, though I know you said you already tried adjusting the chat mixer. Let us know if that helps!
