Recently purchased a disc and doesn't work?

Recently purchased a disc and it would never start installing, no pop ups or even much noise from the Xbox when inserted. Looked on the Microsoft store and says Ace Combat 6 is "not currently available" but I have the disc. Is there a way to get it to install/work? Thanks. (360 game going into One, should be backwards compatible)

If you see error code 0x87e10024 when inserting a backwards compatible disc into your Xbox Series X or Xbox One console:

0x87e10024

This means that your game disc is compatible, but is having trouble being verified for play. It could also mean that you're experiencing an Xbox service outage, the disc isn't compatible with your console, or there's an issue with the disc.

please try DVD movie in the drive it's possible your DVD laser has failed

Hi I personally didn't saw reports recently about this problem with disc with cross-gen titles.

If its the only disc that doesn't work the best option is go back to the store and test it there before leaving it

In that way you can know if the disc works or not

Hi, for an original Xbox game to work on a Xbox 360, the console needs an official Xbox 360 hard drive installed in it. If you do not have an official hard drive installed, then the game will not play & come up with that error message.
