I sometimes get game updates on my ready to install list that don’t automatically update. So I update them, but when I go to my recently installed under the queue tab. The update won’t be there? For example, I update YouTube. Update is finished therefor
I go to recently installed to get into it and it’s not there? Doesn’t this mean the update didn’t install or is it just a glitch

Game stuck in recently installed

Goat simulator shows it’s installed but is only listed in “recently installed” so we can’t play it

Game stuck in recently installed

AFTER downloading forza 6 and horizon 3 at some point during their download (possibly after , wasn't watching) there both moved to recently installed. However neither are in my games list . Can't select either. Only give 2 menu options ; view in marketplace
, xbox help. I tried rebooting, I can't uninstall as it doesn't give me menu options. Please help !

Some games and apps may not update automatically even if you have the setting enabled. Additionally, if multiple game or app updates automatically update say overnight, you may not see them all populated in the queue.

However, for YouTube, if you go to your My Games & Apps and launch the app from there, do you experience any trouble launching the app following the update?

Nope no problems opening it. Just wondering if the update went through. That’s explains it tho becuz I had an update before so that’s probably why it didn’t show up in recently installed

We're glad to hear that. It may have just been updated at a time where a number of games and apps also were updated so YouTube wasn't visible in that queue. However, if it's no longer under My Games & Apps>Updates at that point and you're not prompted to
apply an update when you launch the app, that means you're good to go. We hope that helps and please let us know if you have any other Xbox questions for us

Are you sure it is DSL? Wildblue is known for its Satellite connections which would certainly match up with your very high ping

Wild Blue is a satellite provider and Excede is a satellite service, not DSL. An 800ms ping confirms that.

You're always going to have horrible lag. Here's what one satellite exec says about gamers on satellite:
