Recently bought Xbox One

Hey guys,

I recently bought my Xbox One today, I'm living in the dorms at my school. I need to get the MAC address to register my Xbox to my school network, but I can't get it because I need to first get connected to the Internet.

Is there another way to get the MAC address?

I recently bought some xbox one games in Austraila and was just double checking if they worked on UK xbox ones?

No you cannot. You will need to get past the initial set up first. Bring it to a friends house and connect it to their network. Once your past the initial set up, you can get the Mac address by going to network settings, configure network, ip settings. There
will be two mac addresses there, one for wired and one for wireless. I suggest you give them both to your IT guys.

Does your school have an independent login? Like if you connect to the network does it take you to a webpage login with school issues I'd and password? If you do I used to have the same setup in my dorm and I had to talk to the RA to get them to add me
to the network. Since you can't get to the page to login through the Xbox instead they would set me up on a different network with a constant connection. Im not all that network savvy and maybe things have changed but I suggest asking someone on campus as
this is probably a pretty common problem.

Hi - I recently bought and Xbox one S and can confirm mine is making the same noise- seems to be coming from the fan/fan bearing.

Looking on the web, a few people that have bought a One S recently appear to have 'rattling' fans. People appear to say its not normal however.

I'm going to try to take mine back to the shop I bought it from to see if they will exchange it for another one.
