Recently bought Forza 4, not able to sign into Xbox Live

Hello.

Today i bought Forza 4. After the successful download and installation, i tried to start the game. But i´m not able to do it. I get a message, that there´s no sign - in to Xbox live possible. No error code.

I tried everything which is mentioned at the help sites (erase account, ...) - nothing works. I´m a little pissed off, ´cause a spend a few bucks and can´t play that game for whatever reason.

Does anyone have an idea?

Hi Nicole,

Thanks for providing the additional information. Are you able to sign into the Xbox app successfully? Have you looked over the guide for

signing into the companion app? Have you used the account on an Xbox console or PC before to play Xbox games? May be doesn't have an Xbox profile related to it if you haven't.

Look all that over and try signing in and let us know.

Hi!

I wanted to play via PC on windows 10 1903. I did all steps which were listed in your troubleshooting guide:

On your PC, go to Start > Settings > Time & language. Under Date
and time,make sure that the Set time automatically setting is turned on.

If none of the other options work, go to Start > Settings > Accounts and
find the Microsoft account you used to sign in to the Xbox app, and select Remove. Then go back to the Xbox
app and sign in with the Microsoft account you just removed.

None of this worked.

I did a screenshot of the exact mesage, it´s in german but means, "can´t sign in to your xbox live account". No error code.

Thanks for your post. I understand you are experiencing issues with playing Forza Horizon 4. Do you mind clarifying what platform you are playing the game on and listing all troubleshooting steps you have attempted? Also, please post the exact message you
receive when attempting to launch your game.

So the primary issue is that you can't sign in to the Xbox App or does it not connect to Xbox Live when launching Forza Horizon 4?

Are you able to sign into account.xbox.com without any issues?

I recommend restarting your PC in a clean boot state to see if there are any other background programs causing all of these issues with Forza Horizon 4:

Hey buckbalboa,

Are you signed in to a real xbox live profile? For games like Forza horizon 4 you must be signed into an xbox account so the game can save data to a profile.
