Recent update - Console won't get past 64%

At which stage does it freeze? When it is downloading, verifying or installing?

Hi Buddy..

I went thru the same thing.. My internet ISP started to drop my speed as I was updating my XBox.

I found my internet speed reduce badly. It's best to re-boot the cable modem & re-boot the router. It tells the internet provider to restore you internet speed.

Turn off the XBox for any 1hour.

When your modem & router is back up. Check your internet speed online.

Turn on your XBox. It should start where it left off. It will check to see if info it download is ok, then it will update the system.

Make sure: Your XBox is connected by Ethernet cable Cat6 or Cat7 or Cat8 (Cat5e is slow)

If it's at 84% I don't suggest you do this but you can try and downloading it from the store, if you started downloading as a Disc, in order to do that you will have to cancel it. It's up to you (sorry if this doesn't make that
much sense i'm tired rn)

Lol, of course it won't be 64 players, current gen consoles have inferior hardware.

I know the reliability of the 360 has been talked about recently, no doubt it was bad especially upto when the updated models where released but surely Microsoft have learnt from past mistakes.



If they haven't and we see those sort of failure rates again, well I dread to think what will happen lol but it won't be good.
