Recent problem with XBOX controller on PC

For the past few weeks, I have a problem with: the right joystick, the one we generally use for the camera, doesn't work well. When I play DEATH STRANDING or Horizon Zero Dawn, the camera always "comes back to the ground". I made a video to illustrate the problem:

At first I thought it was from the game itself, but same issue when I play DEATH STRANDING. So it seems that it comes from the controller. However, I don't use it too much and the last game I played, Beyond Two Souls, I had no problem. And that was just a month ago. Futhermore, the controller did not fall in or received any shocks.

I thought maybe it was a drift joystick problem, but when I plug the controller directly with the USB cable to the PC, I no longer have this problem. So I tried plugging the wireless adapter into other USBs but nothing helped.

Any help ?

Thank but as I said, when I plug the controller to the PC with the USB cable, I don't have any issue anymore.

Edition: actually not. Same issue when plugged. Well, I'll buy an another pad.

You have something call drifting a very common fault you have 2 options.

1 try and replace the joy stick yourself

2 go and buy a xbox one s controller.

You can find cheap ones on ebay.

If you're using Steam you can go into the controller configuration and give the stick a dead zone, which might help keep this from happening.

Looking into it it may be down to the update on the pc which you could possibly roll back a few months.

Or you can uninstall and down load a driver for it and make sure it a few versions earlier.

This is what I would do. I use an after glow wired to a laptop as i stream my xbox to my laptop.

Oh sorry forgotten that I solved the issue by bought a new controller.
