Receiving game updates for same game installed in two drive, one console

If I have a game, lets say Forza Horizon 3, installed to my xbox one internal drive, as well as an external drive, and the game receives an update, do both drives update, or just the default installation drive?

I have my xbox at work set to auto update because I have fast internet at work, leave all my game on the external drive attached to that xbox and take the drive home to transfer the updated game to my home xbox. I realize I could just have games on the
external only at work and then they would be the only ones updating, but if I forget to bring the drive back with me, then I don't have the games installed at work.

As I understand it system updates will as Hydro skillet says be unstalled on the internal Hd but game updates will be installed to the Hd where the game is installed... I have left the external drives on my two Xbox One consoles on and haven't had any negative
experiences with that..

Error when trying to open No Man's Sky

I recently downloaded No Man's Sky on my Xbox One (original console). After installing the game, I tried to open it and received an error message: "An error occurred during the system update. For detailed instructions, select Help." I went to the game hub
and installed the available update, but i'm still receiving the same error when I try to open the game.

After selecting help, I was taking to another screen entitled "System update error" explaining that I should perform on offline update (error code 0x800701E7). I followed the steps to do this, but on two separate PC's when I download the OSU1 file it is
corrupted and cannot unzip. Not only that, but the Xbox won't read my USB flash drive anyway (yes it is formatted NTFS). Is there anyway to get around this?

Disc games are slow to install too because blu-ray reads slow.

A 4x blu-ray drive transfers data at a faster rate than a 12x dvd drive. So it is doubtful slow install times are at the drive end.

From what I've read when you install a game the One tries to get any game updates at the same time, meaning you've got two things trying to access the hard drive.

Disk installs apparently go a lot faster if you disconnect from the internet.

If this is happening, there could be a problem with the game, the update for the game, or your console. One, the game could be corrupted. This could be fixed by going to (if you have installed it) System settings>files> remove the game. Two, the update could
have been hijacked, hacked, or not work with your console version. Three, your console's disk drive may be broken. This could be fixed by buying a new console.

I had the same error with Minecraft dungeons, and i solved installing in my Hard drive principal the C: one.

I have two drives on my laptop i don't know why i can't install on my second drive, i can install all the game pass games except Minecraft dungeons u.u
