Receiving a lot of spam messages and invites to minecraft Windows 10 beta?

Not sure what is going on but in the last couple of days I've been getting a lot of followers and people spamming me with invites to minecraft Windows 10 beta which I don't even have. Is this a glitch anyone else getting the same thing?

the messages seem to come from new accounts with either 0 gamer score and hardly any friends.

it all started when I changed my GT few days ago.

Connect to Xbox One Minecraft Game

I have a host Xbox One running minecraft on multiplayer, and I'm sending invites to my windows ten PC that has the Windows 10 Edition of minecraft installed, but the invites never show up on the pc in-game, or in the Xbox app. If I do the reverse and try
to send invites from the Windows 10 Edition to the Xbox Edition, the Xbox opens up the windows 10 store page for Minecraft and prompts to purchase. Suggestions?

 

Not able to receive Minecraft invites on Windows 10 Xbox One app.

I recently purchased the Minecraft Windows 10 Beta and am attempting to play with a couple friends. They are already in their own game and they sent me invites to join them, however, I never received any invites through the Xbox App on Windows, my phone,
or my Xbox One itself.

I did check my privacy settings and receiving invites is open to "Everyone". I also checked the network settings and it says NAT is open and that I'm 100% connected.

I am also able to send them invites and they get them no problem, but I'm not receiving anything from them except messages.

Any ideas on how to resolve this issue would be appreciated.

Don't really know about the Win 10 Invites to MC? But I think it would be fair to assume in the future due to your GT you will on a regular basis get a large number of Spam Messages or Friend Notifications. You might want to consider
adjusting Privacy Settings if it bothers you, if not then carry on.

 

Ok many thanks for your help. Just wasn't sure if it's some sort of glitch in the system and I was just recieving invites by some sort of mistake in the system. Didn't think my GT would be this popular, I'll have to adjust my privacy settings if it doesn't
stop.

No problem but do keep in mind that a GT with just 4 letters and a single legible word and even a name at that matter is almost top of the food chain (so to speak) for an Account Phishing or Theft Attempt.

Make sure you keep your Email/ Password ultra secret and not to be used with any other Service that might become compromised. You will also want to maybe consider Blocking/ Filing a Complaint against any and all attempts from 0 Gamescore GT's (or even ones
that appear to be used with Gamescore) that send you Messages in regards. As long as you might have waited for that GT, there are thousands more who would have no issue with trying to steal it from you.

I've had my Gamertag for 13+ years (and have had it stolen once) -- the more unique your GT, the more likely you are to get this kind of harassment -- for the past month or so I have received the same kind of BS invite from the same two or three accounts
-- (they all seem to have the same picture associated with their GT) -- I've tried to contact them to ask them to stop but alas it just continues until I block their account.

 

I have this problem as well, I think Microsoft should address this if there is malicious intent.
