Received message from another player "You need to turn off your Xbox"

I have never seen this before. I was playing the other day and after leaving a Skirmish session on the 1.8 PTS, I got a message from a player, whose name I did not recognize, and the message was...."you need to turn off your Xbox".

Has anyone else ever had this happen to them? Is this someones way of telling me that they think I suck and should stop playing he game?

Error message: The Kinect Sensor couldn't start - How to solve

Are you receiving the following error message?

The Kinect Sensor couldn’t start

If you see this error message and the sensor of your console is red, you’ll need to follow the steps bellow.

You have to ensure that the sensor is at room temperature. You need to unplug the sensor and plug it back in again. If the problem exists, you should do it again.

If the Kinect sensor is very cold, you might receive this error message. So, the sensor needs to warm up.

Here is how:

First, you need to turn off your Xbox 360 console.

You must wait for the Kinect sensor to reach room temperature (approximately 70 °F or 21 °C).

Finally, turn your console on to check out whether the problem still exists.

If you cannot solve the problem after performing all above, the sensor should be repaired.

Are you receiving the following error message?

The Kinect Sensor is not level (C0051209)

If you see this error message on your screen and the light of your sensor is red, you’ll need to place the sensor on a level surface and then try again.

Here is how:

First, turn off your Xbox 360 Console.

You’ll have to ensure that the Kinect sensor is positioned on a flat, level surface.

Now turn on your console to check out whether the problem still occurs.

This problem might also occur if the sensor is very hot or cold. If so, you’ll have to wait for the sensor to reach room temperature (approximately 70 °F or 21 °C), and then try using the sensor again.

If the problem still exists, you’ll need to repair the sensor

I have never had this happen to me. I would just ignore it, or report him for spam.

Honestly, it sounds like they may have been trying to get a response out of you. I would just ignore it and not reply. If they continue to send unwanted messages then you can always block, report and mute.

Just remember that if you do reply that it will remove the block (if you blocked them).

Blocking another player prevents you from receiving the player’s messages, game invites, and party invites. It also prevents the affected player from seeing your online activity, and, if applicable, removes the player from your friends list. To block another
player on Xbox Live:

Double-tap the Xbox button on your controller to bring up the guide, or say
"Xbox, go to Friends" and select the Gamertag that you wish to mute. If the player is not a friend, select
Recent players from the drop-down menu or select Find someone and enter the player’s Gamertag.
From the player's profile card, select Block.

You can also block a player after receiving an offensive or inappropriate message. To block a player through the Message app:

Double-tap the Xbox button on your controller to bring up the guide and navigate to
Messages, or say "Xbox, go to messages."
Select the message conversation from the player you wish to block.
Select More.
Select View profile card.
Select Block.

Blocking another player should prevent you from receiving that player’s messages, game invites, and party invites. It also prevents the player from seeing your online activity and removes them from your friends list, if they were on it.

Are you getting those messages from the same account?

Play with the settings on the xbox one,

Settings-->TV & OneGuide-->Devices-->Troubleshooting-->IR delay

*I changed mine to fast, but you may need to change yours to slow (its on recommended by default)

-I have to also ask, does your receiver turn on the TV?

HDMI can also turn on and off devices.

If your TV has a new Blue Ray player that turns on the TV when the Blue Ray player is turned on, check that too.

I think the issue is with another device not the Kinect.
