    Received email saying problem with account


    I received an my September rewards statement early in the morning. It indicated in the email that my account had a problem and that I should contact support. However, with the changes to the Rewards website, I can no longer see when my account has a problem
    or the nature of the problem. Is there actually a problem with the account? What is the nature of the problem, if there is one?

    Also, I recently made a few purchases through Xbox.com, but I feel as if not all of them have been reflected in my MyVip star progress. The changes to the site also prevent precise tracking of VIP star % progress per dollar spent. I took images of my progress
    before and after the purchases to see how much progress I would get. Before the purchases, my progress looked like this:

    I spent $137.49 in the Xbox store on qualifying content according to the FAQ. After my progress updated, it looked like this:

    I feel like this increase is not representative of the full amount that I spent in the store. I'd like to know, at my level of 1 MyVip Star Rank, how many dollars spent leads to an increase of 1% in progress? Has the full amount I spent been applied to the
    progress at this time?

    After reviewing your account, it appears that you are currently being affected by a known database issue which is interfering with the information on your account. What is happening is that your billable account information is being incorrectly communicated
    to our servers. Since this data is necessary to determine where to place your deposit, the process is aborted. Since this issue is currently being caused by a database not under our control, we have escalated the problem, and it is currently being worked
    on by another team. At the current point in time, they have not yet provided us with an approximate solution date, but have been able to provide occasional fixed deposits like your previous deposit in June. We apologize for the inconvenience, and ask for your
    patience while our other team works on a solution.

    Regarding MyVIP, the first thing you should keep in mind is eligibility. From the FAQ:

    What content can I earn a % back on purchases for?

    Normally, most purchases for Xbox 360 and Xbox One from the Xbox Store qualify towards your MyVIP Star Rank and % back on purchases, including full Games on Demand titles (excluding game pre-orders), arcade games, indie games, game add-ons, game Season Passes,
    movies, TV shows, TV seasons, themes and avatar items. In-game consumables, Xbox Live Gold memberships, subscriptions like EA Access and Xbox Game Pass, Groove Music Passes, Microsoft Movies & TV Season Passes, and the purchase or redemption of Microsoft Points
    or Xbox Gift Cards, still do not qualify.

    Of the $137 purchases that you reference, the majority of it was a pre-order of Shadows of War, which, as a pre-order, was not eligible for MyVIP and so did not award progress. It did award one punch on the Games on Demand punchcard. Regarding your question
    on progress, since you are currently 1 Star, your progress bar shows you your progress toward your second Star. Using this information, we can see from the FAQ under "How is my MyVIP Star Rank determined?" the following:

    Therefore, .01*600 = 6, so $6 USD is equal to 1% of progress.
