Received an Xbox Live promotion however in wrong currency; is there a way in can be converted?

I received an email from Xbox live saying I was specially selected to receive a special offer which was a code for money to be redeemed at the Xbox live store. However the denomination is not in the country that I live and I am unable to redeem the code and
it tells me to contact those who provided it. Is there a way for this money to be converted?

I received a code for a promotion in my xbox live messages, and accidentally deleted it before I could use it. Is there some way it can be recovered?

This offer can take up to 4 weeks before you receive your promotional currency. Keep in mind that this offer is only valid for purchasing Xbox Live Gold through the promotion on the dashboard. If you added an Xbox Live Gold token to your
account during this promotion, it will not qualify you for this promotion. If it has been over 4 weeks and you still have not received your currency and you have followed all of the required steps, please let us know. Thanks!

We were able to determine that you received Xbox Store credit in the currency for the region your Xbox Live account is set to. If you are physically located in a different region, you would want to switch your Xbox Live account region to where you are physically
located in to avoid this in the future using our
Xbox Live Account Migration Tool.

We are unable to replace the code with the currency you are located in, but be sure to change your account region to avoid this in the future! Thanks for posting.

It looks like you were able to successfully migrate your account over. However, any remaining currency in your account will not be converted.

However, next time you receive any kind of currency, it should be in the correct region now.

We did not convert Microsoft Points into Xbox Live Rewards Credits. They were all placed into your Microsoft Account before that promotional currency was discontinued. You can see a complete history of your Credit and deposit events from the MyStatement
on the MyRewards page.

Unfortunately there isn't an option to convert the currency associated with your account. If the region of your account was set differently than your physical location it may have led to receiving the incorrect currency for the promotion. Be sure to keep
the region of your account set correctly to avoid any issues such as this.
