    i have sent my halo 4 limited edition xbox 360 in twice for repairs. the first time i sent it in it was excellent condition as well as the second time. i collect consoles and games and i take care of them all. upon receiving the console the first time it
    was dirty. it had smudges all over it and some sticky stuff. i didn't think much of it so i just cleaned it off. a month later i had to send it in for the same reason i sent it in the first time (making really loud unbearable noises). now i have received the
    console yet again. when i opened the box i immediately checked the system for damages the same as i did the first time i received my console. after i examined the console i realized that i was given a different console in a lesser condition than the system
    i originally sent was in. i didn't even have to hook up the system to realize it was a different console since the letter that came with the system gave directions on how to send all of the information from my last system to this one and the system has a fresh
    sticker on the back with the same serial number as the last system. the new system is scratched and dirty with sticky stuff all over it and smudges. any item that i receive in lesser condition than what i sent it in is unacceptable. i have already contacted
    xbox customer support through the website and chatted with an agent. sherryn (whom is really nice and concerned) has already created a case for me concerning my issue. please help me resolve this issue as i would love to remain a loyal customer.

    Complaint - Console replacement

    I have been directed here from a conversation with a support officer.

    Firstly, I would like to stress that the replacement seems to work perfectly fine.

    I recently sent off my limited edition Halo 4 Xbox 360 for repairs as it had a problem with constant freezing. I had taken good care of the console as it was firstly a nice looking console and secondly expensive! Because I had taken good care of it, aesthetically
    the console was near mint condition. The console was also still under warranty so it was repaired/replaced for free.

    Because it was still under warranty I expected the console to either be fixed or replaced with a like-for-like replacement. The console I have received is a Halo 4 xbox, however it has loose panels, is scratched, and is dirty and dusty inside. Basically it
    looks like I have a refurbished/ second hand console, but I do not feel like I have a like-for-like for mine.

    there was no legendary edition of Halo 4. there were two versions of the limited edition though, one was with the halo 4 xbox console it was like 400. the limited edition of Halo 4 by itself was 99.99 though. Halo Reach had a legendary edition and

    another thing i would like to add to this tread is after further examination i realized that the vents on the side of the system were not attached completely. i pushed on the vents very lightly and now they are set in place. i can understand this issue if
    it is a shipping problem but the box was not even damaged. i don't see how the system could possibly have been damaged during the shipping process if the box was not damaged. this makes me wonder if the employees in the service center are actually doing there
    job properly before shipping back our hardware. i am not saying that i am 100% sure that the service center is to blame. i know very well how irresponsible the fedex employees are. they actually like to drop my shipments on the hard concrete outside my door.
    ups does this exact same thing but like i said before there were no damages to the box and it was set on the frame of the door where you step up to walk through the door. i would hate to see how they load the boxes on the trucks.

  5. forget i said anything about this system being a different system other than what i sent in for repairs. i just realized that since the serial number is the same then it is the same system. i just wanted to correct what i said above. i still want to make
    it clear that it is still unacceptable that the system i sent in for repairs has been returned to me scratched and dirty. please help me with this situation.

    Seeing as there is really no way to determine if it was handled improperly at the repair center, or if was handled improperly by the shipping service, I am not sure exactly where to send you. You could contact phone support and explain your situation. They
    may be able to help you. Or, you could contact the company that shipped the console. One question I would have is was the box that it was shipped in damaged at all? You can contact phone support at 800-4MY-XBOX in the US and Canada. I think that would be your
    best first move in resolving this.

    actually i am looking at the box right now. it has a crease on the side (wide side) that continues on to the bottom of the box. not only that but a corner of the box is smashed. still no holes though. i can see how this might have been the cause of my problems.
    but it still does not explain why i received it dirty with smudges and sticky stuff all over it.
