Reboots vs Remakes

Hello Everyone

Just to be clear, a " Reboot " is when a series either starts over completely or chooses to change the history of events by changing the sequel / follow up from a specific point. A " Remake " does not change the history of events that takes in a series
but updates the visuals and gameplay mechanics. Now with that explained, let us continue onwards and please be kind / corteous to each others opinions. Thank you very much for your feedback, I really appreciate it

Which series would you like to see a Reboot of / Remake of and why would you like to see that series to take that path?

(1) Remake Resident Evil 1, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 Nemesis, and Resident Evil Code Veronica. Then, from this point they should Reboot the series by sticking to the SURVIVAL HORROR aspects and ditch the SHOOT EVERYTHING aspects because the franchise
has lost its identity.

(2) Remake Silent Hill 1, Silent Hill 2, and Silent Hill 3 because they are epic. Unlike the Resident Evil Series, I don't have any issues with the other Silent Hill Games because they stayed true to their Survival Horror aspects.

(3) Reboot from Dragon Age Origins because I felt that Dragon Age 2 wasn't up to par with its predecessor (Dragon Age Origins).

I've seen comparison shots of the remake vs the original that are definitely not in the remakes favour

 

Backwards Compatibility requests

I really wish that Injustice would become backwards compatible. i really, really wish that they would remake/remaster or backwards compatibilize any of the Mortal Kombat games. i want to play all the games. by these i mean MK Deadly Alliance, MK Deception,
MK Armageddon, Definitely MK reboot (2011) and possibly even Mortal Kombat vs DC universe. PLease XBox, hear my post and remaster Deadly Alliance, Deception and Armageddon, as well as make MK vs DC universe and the 2011 reboot backwards compatible.

 

1. Reboot Fallout Series (just because I would like to play the older ones on the Xbox)

2. Remake All of Resident evil to be honest (except Resident evil 4)

3. Remake of Final Fantasy XII because I did like the game on PS2

 

I agree with (1) and (2). Those games would be awesome to reply via a reboot. I would also like a reboot to Phantasy Star Online. Great game in my opinion.

Fallout 3 is an amazing game. I've never played the one that came afterwards (I forgot the title, sorry), but I've heard people say that Fallout 3 is WAY better and the other game (which is a good game).

Yeah Fallout New Vegas, it's not that great but is till play it because I like the fallout series. I cannot wait till Fallout 4 comes out

I hope that they keep the VATS system on Fallout 4. I named my character "Avril Lavigne" on Fallout 3 and her primary weapon is the Magnum Revolver & Frag Grenades LOL

I had two favorite weapons and they were Hunting Rifle, and Plasma Rifle. those things were amazing. Grenades I couldn't stand because I always hurt my companions :l

 

I especially hated using that lol. They were only useful if you didn't care about Karma

 

Ohhh Lei, Phantasy Star Online was amazing. Definitely worth the price if that ever got a reboot or a port over. There is a fair few of us on the forums that are begging for this to happen

 

A reboot/remake thread where KOTOR hasn't been mentioned yet? That would be my number one.

Also even though I've finished them on multiple occasions would like to see an X1 remake of the ME trilogy provided they fix the combat and inventory management from the first one.

A new a Timesplitters would be welcome too

As for ME there was actually a rumour a week or 2 back that stated they may be on way

Just so you know, Avril Lavigne (my Fallout 3 character) is 100% Good and I never harm the innocent. Also, I don't use my companions so the only ones who are on the receiving end of the damage that I inflict are those that choose to attack me

I love the "Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic" games. They're my favorite games on the Original Xbox along with Jade Empire

I have seen that weapon in action, and quite honestly it is too destructive for my playstyle as I only fight when I have too. That weapon obliterates everything with reckless abandon and I don't like hurting any of the innocents

Oh the Dreamcast <3 how I love that console! The game though, absolutely superb. It's very good indeed!
