Rebooting needed to play video everytime

Recently my XboxOne needs a full restart before it loads any video disc. That is for both games and blue ray videos. Is there a fix for this or is something with my console starting to fail?

Xbox store not listing add ons

everytime I try to view the new add ons for Xbox one, the store shows up with zero results. Tried rebooting and everything but nothing works

We appreciate you reaching out to us. We appreciate you reaching out to us. If this issue is appearing with the one singular game we recommend reinstalling the game. Also, we recommend plugging your console into a wall outlet and never into a surge protector
or power strip. Also, if you're using an external drive, we recommend transferring it to your internal drive and unplugging the external drives. These steps should help with this issue.

 

Try heading to Settings>Disc & Blu Ray and uncheck Enable BD Live then Clear Persistent Storage. After that hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down. That should fix the issue for you.

 

This did not work. I saw on another post if you hang on to the disc a brief second before the automatic ingest takes the disc that it would trigger the player. This seems to be working. I did hear the player make a noise the last time we tried powering
on the unit. Is this a sign the player is failing?

 

It may be that the console needs to be repaired/replaced. I also would not recommend the "hang on to the disc" method as you risk scratching the disc.
