Rebel Galaxy announced for Xbox One

There aren't enough space games on consoles, and by that I mean games where you control a spaceship/s rather than some marine with a puny laser pistol. That situation's about to change this year, with the release of Double Damage Games' Rebel Galaxy.

Plague Inc is a lot cheaper on the mobile devices it was designed for in the first place.

I've heard good things about "Rebel Galaxy".

 

Release date for Rebel Galaxy for Australia?

Yeah,about 70-80 hours so far,i kind of got addicted to Rebel Galaxy.

Not sure on a release date for down under though

It honestly doesn't "Look" that good but I love these types of space games. I have a few on Steam like Zigfrak, Starpoint Gemini and Galaxy on Fire 2. But you are right OP...there are not enough Space games like this on console. Darkstar One is the last
I can remember and that was a LONG time ago, lol.

The cool thing about Rebel Galaxy is that it was MADE for a controller not specifically a keyboard and mouse. If the price is cheaper or around that same as Elite Dangerous then I might just get Rebel Galaxy instead. With those two games,Star Wars Battlefront
and No Man's Sky on PS4 this generation of consoles is looking a lot better than the last!

 

Rebel Galaxy is awesome, but it's basically naval combat on 2D plane. Then you have Starpoint Gemini 2 (I'm part of dev team) which is in full 3D, basically open space tactical combat game with RPG elements. It'coming on Xbox One in a few days, on 11. December.
Not to forget Elite which is already on Xbox. All in all space games are coming to cobsoles slowly and thw best thing is that you can choose. Elite, SPG2 and Rebel Galaxy are all in space but every of them offer completely different experiences. I have all
of them and play all of them on Steam so yes, good times are coming for console players.

If you will have ANY questions about Starpoint Gemini 2, please don't hesitate to ask and I will try to answer. The best thing about indie games is that most dev teams are completely opened to their players. Double Damage and Frontier are also engaged with
their communities and I think that really counts in the end.
