Reasons to buy an Xbox One

I bought an xbox one because I was hooked on the Forza series since the first one on original xbox, but I'm now thoroughly bored of and quite annoyed with Forza 5. I haven't played it in weeks and no longer have any desire to play it. I spend most of my
time playing COD: Ghosts now, so I would probably be better off with a PS4, due to almost every cross platform game being undeniably better looking on PS4. Most of the kinect gimmicks I don't use and OneGuide still doesn't have any functionality where I am.
All the things that sounded like cool features to me before launch are clunky or not currently functioning. Maybe it will eventually get to a point where it should have been at launch, but I'm not holding my breath. I won't recommend XB1 to anyone right
now, and that is really saying something, because I used to be a huge fan. I don't plan to sell my XB1 just yet, but I'll probably buy a PS4 soon, even though I've never liked Sony. I'll see which system I end up playing more of.

@titan why you only list 3 exclusives for the Xbox one you have missed at least ten at a quick head count.

 

I haven't picked up a one yet -- there are two games I would like to see before I make the purchase.

1 - a next gen golf game (thegolfclubgame.com looks promising)

2 - one of my favorite games on the 360 would have to make an appearance. That is of course, Techno Kitten Adventure (or TKA!)

@ Titan you forget Quantic Dream, and Media Molicule too and of course the big news in the games world project Morpheus.

 

Get both and it doesn't matter what console you get first. You could get the PS4 and buy the Xbox One during the holidays when they have better bundles.

 

Im also trying to decide whether to pick up the one or not. Have the ps4 already. Would like both if its worth it

 

FiscalBasilisk - As others have probably said get the one you want. Look and see which games you want and see if those are multiplatform. If you generally play multiplatform games then you should be fine either way outside of the differences in the systems
and things that have already been beat into the abyss.

The reason I went PS4 was for infamous SS, Blacklight and Warframe being free (and they really are not bad at all), the free to play games I have received (could not care less if I own them permanently as I will have already finished them as many times as
I want), Titanfall is on PC (and 360 if you want it), and I am not to confident yet in MS as far as games. Halo and Gears are some of my favorites (although I did not favor Halo 4 that much) but that is not enough. I have to see MS have a long term commitment
to exclusives.

 

I would suggest to wait, but some people can't hold out like I easily can. I'm just finishing up Red Dead Redemption and wishing it wouldn't end.

 

Games games games games. Whichever you like is the path you should take.

@Bizarro, im hoping the next Red Dead does not have that same affect.

 

Both consoles are great so if you can't own both, look at the libraries (past, present and future) and get the one that is peaking your interest more.

Asking people on a forum devoted to one side is never going to be a good idea haha.

 

I think ive more or less made up my mind to get one. Id quite like to give titanfall a go as well as some of the other exclusives in the pipeline. Nearly there lol

?? I'm hoping it does have the same effect...I hope I don't want RDR2 to end either. : ) It's a really great game despite being 4 years old.

 

Well Titanfall is a great game if you are into FPS games, even if you're not it may just convert you.

Only word of warning is don't go in thinking it'll be the second coming as, although it is very good and I love it, it doesn't live up to all the hype. The sooner you accept that the sooner you'll enjoy it for what it is.

Console wise, have a good play round with the dash and learn how it all works. Can be pretty frustrating coming from a 360 but once you get used to it, its a great set up.

I'm in the preview for the April update and apart from a few minor changes the best thing is how much faster the apps load.
