Reasonable Refund Declined

I recently requested a refund on Sea of Thieves. The refund was perfectly reasonable saying something like “i bought this game thinking i never had it before but i realized i had bought the game on a different microsoft account that i have for my xbox
years ago. (I switched from xbox to pc and made a secondmicrosoft account somehow and i still cant recall why). I submitted that request and it was denied a day later for the reason “we cannot refund a game that has been played”. I only did one mission in
game with a couple of my friends and right after it is when i realized i already had the game. The one mission i did lasted around probably an hour maybe hour and a half. Is there anything i can do against this?

While reading the terms one thing came up about if digital currency you earn in game is used the refund might not be accepted. I also never used any currency i got during my short time playing.

Here are the refund terms for digital content with Xbox. It's up to them, you might be able to resubmit it, but it's up to them.

The only other thing you can do is to reply to the denial email with more information where they may approve your request.

Hey Jesse sorry to get back to you so late my refund has been declined because I've maxed out my refunds. I refunded the skins before but got declined for the same reason but were still taken away from my after they were declined

He said he tried a refund which was declined no reason according to him. I have no record of the request or any reasoning why.
