What's the deal with xbox1 with no games to try before we buy? I enjoy trying out a game before I buy.

    :)

  2. Metal Gear Rising demo is coming in January 2013! For Xbox LIVE and PS3!

I'm not really sure how I feel after playing the demo. It seemed really repetitive. I really don't like it takes place after MGS4. That could really bad-especially for Raiden's character. I might just replay MGS4 for further evaluation in that regard. Not
realyl sure what to say about parrying; It seemed fine to me. :S

If I had to pick an action game to get, DMC seems like the better choice.

Dead Rising 3 had (possibly still has) a demo and Titanfall had an open beta. Of course, demos fall in the hands of developers and incur extra expense and time that could be better spent on polishing the final game.

  7. This is nothing the console can help, as it is a growing trend by developers not to make a demo.

Reasoning is that sales figures can be higher if there is no demo, so that you will have to buy the game to try it.

Demo's will still come, but probably a lot less then before.

Demos are still there but have disappeared for some users. I wouldnt be surprised if Demos slowly died off as they actually decrease sales of games instead of helping them

I saw demos when I last used the X1. Maybe a temporary glitch of some sort?

@24hrs -- In that article it specifies, "One potential problem with interpreting the EEDAR data in this way, however, is that it is difficult to determine whether there is a correlation between some of the industry's best-selling titles--such as Call of
Duty, BioShock Infinite, or Tomb Raider--generally opting not to release a demo at launch."

I'm not saying "yes" or "no" to the question at hand, but it's really difficult to say for certain whether the demos affect game sales when some of the biggest selling games from 2013 didn't even have demos. They didn't need demos to sell well.

  15. It's a glitch within Xbox Live, I'm sure. I've had them not show up before either only to check back later & have them magically appear. Using Bing to search with voice commands should bring them up regardless if they don't show up in the Store. Speaking
of which, the Store doesn't currently show up on my Xbox One AT ALL unless I access it via voice commands. It clearly states on the Home Screen: "This may be a problem on our end." I think it is.
