I am getting a similar passage about how the way my account is set up I cannot join

but on my Nintendo switch my other friends are on xbox but I can't join them

I don't think cross platform is a thing with worlds except if you have realms.

There is cross purchases, but cross saves is different. To access any worlds on Minecraft on a different platform, then you would need a subscription to Minecraft Realms. Otherwise local saves would only be available on the game.

Thanks for the reply. We understand this is on a switch, you still log in with Microsoft account. And with realms, the cross play needs to be enabled due to realms accesses all platforms Minecraft is played on.

I personally love that more games are becoming cross platform. My Brother-in-law is a pc gamer and cannot afford a console, now with games like Realm Royale and Paladins we can play together. I would like to see Halo and Battlefield become cross platform.
