Really!!!

Okay we have had the x1 for about a 2 weeks now and I have had to do a reset on this thing like every day!! It crashes to a black screen every time you exit xbox fitness and that screws up the voice controls so I have to recalibrate it. Is there any fix
for this it's really starting to get old!

try deleting the app and re-install it.. Also check that your HDMI and Kinect cables are secure (Even the power ones).. one bad spot on the X1 is the cables tend to come loose... I had issues with my TV due to this and needed a better HDMI cable for a cleaner
connection..

Sorry haven't had this either. I also haven't tried Xbox fitness since before last update. Have you got fast Resume activated in the settings? That has caused games to not boot sometimes for me. Just thinking it may be linked to what your experiencing.

 

Also... I was using Xbox Fitness, and it said the Kinect needed to be plugged in, even though I had it plugged in and had been using it for sign in and voice commands... I reached behind the console, pushed the plug to ensure it was in all the way, and surprise,
it clicked in just a bit further... I thought I'd plugged it in fully the first time, but obviously not. Also the Fitness app crashed on me once right near the end of a workout, and I reckon that was why.

After plugging it in that extra click, it hasn't crashed again.

Hope this is all your problem is.

 

Xbox is currently working on a fix for this black screen problem. They do know about it but you will have to wait it out till the march 11 update. Sorry for the inconvenience.

 

And as tohellnbak suggested, try uninstalling/re-installing the app as it did kinda screw up the very first time I tried to use it, that's what I did, and it's been good ever since (apart from the plug thing).

I don't have fast boot on, and haven't suffered any crashes yet... Hopefully that'll get patched up...

 

Fast resume is awesome so I put up with the hiccups from time to time.

 

the input cavities for the plugs are really bad on the Xb1 not sure of you working out making your floor bounce might make the wires loose... but it s high possibility... so I would check those...

 

The missus is power conscious, so I have power saver enabled most of the time. Can't blame her tho, the cost of electricity is outta control in Qld lately... When our solar panels go on, so does fast boot!

What is fast resume and where do I turn it on? I didn't even no it existed.

 

It's in your settings under the Power section... It's a checkbox.
