Really slow download speeds

I picked up Forza Horizon 3 on Tuesday and get a update of the Xbox required when i turn it on. So far the best I've been able to reach is 62% tonight, but thats been running for about 5 hours. I've been through every connection issues thread and topic I
can find on here and over the net. after the patch i need a 4.3gb update for forza, I'm about to throw it out the window. Hopefully some one can help

Slow connection

Hi,

My download speed on XBL is really slow causing lag and well slow download speed. It's fine on PC. It's been like this for days.

And sometimes I can't even sign in from slow connection speed. (It's Ethernet connection)

 

Really Really Slow game download speeds

Me as well, trying to download Fifa 15 and Wolfenstein getting about 2/3 Mbit/s. I know that's about 700/800Kbps. I can normally downloaf about 60Mbit/s it has been like this the past two days why so slow? It's taking forever

 

do all the other services for xbox live work well for you? multiplayer? chat? media apps? this may be a problem related to your service provider and you may need to call them to see if your service was interrupted or if there is a problem with your router.

 

Sounds so basic but one of the things that helps the most is a power cycle. Hold down the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds and then turn it on again. This fixes most problems. If it does not fix the internet speed then another solution could
be to disconnect your router from your Xbox and reconnect it to ensure a fresh and stable connection.

If these solutions don't work then you should use the network tests on your Xbox along with www.speedtest.net (used on a mobile or desktop device), to ensure that you should be getting higher speeds. If you are still not achieving the speeds that you
should from your ISP, then you should contact them about the matter as this may be down to a router fault.

In addition to what Badkd404 has said did you have any other devices downloading content via your router? eg someone watching netflix or also downloading a game for example.
