Really Really Slow game download speeds

Hello All

I have just purchased Far Cry 4 and it's been 3 hours and only at 32%

I have bought games before in the past via Xbox Live and always been really fast downloading but not this time. I have checked with my ISP and no problems there, I have tried port forwarding but didn't make a difference, My Nat is Open. Even before and after
Port Forwarding.

I have a 100MB broadband connection but the game is downloading at 7mbps according to my bandwith usage on the Xbox

I recenty bought The Witcher 3 which is more than double the size of Far Cry 4 and it downloaded in less than 1 hour.

I have checked on the Xbox Live status page and there is no reported problems. I have also reset my xbox and Router. Turned off at the wall for 2 minutes etc and nothing has seemed to make a difference.

Really slow download speeds

In addition to what Badkd404 has said did you have any other devices downloading content via your router? eg someone watching netflix or also downloading a game for example.

do all the other services for xbox live work well for you? multiplayer? chat? media apps? this may be a problem related to your service provider and you may need to call them to see if your service was interrupted or if there is a problem with your router.

 

Sorry I also forgot to mention I tried pausing and resuming the download and also canceling and restarting. Still the same issue

Trying to download Far Cray 4

 

If several people try to download the same file from the same server, usually the download speed suffers. Maybe, (this is just a theory), since the game is on sale for gold members, a lot of people are trying to download this game so the servers get over
flooded and the download speed suffers because of it.

 

Me as well, trying to download Fifa 15 and Wolfenstein getting about 2/3 Mbit/s. I know that's about 700/800Kbps. I can normally downloaf about 60Mbit/s it has been like this the past two days why so slow? It's taking forever

 

My Witcher 3 downloaded about 5mb in the last 12 hours. What. The. ***.

Internets fine btw speed check on the xbone give 6mbps which is normal for me.
