Really need help with this connection problem!! Anyone???

My xbox one worked fine on my wireless network the first 2 or so months i had it and then all of a sudden i couldnt connect to xbox live..

THIS IS MY PROBLEM:

I see my router on the "which ones yours?" wireless networks page, I select it, Type in the password.. And it says my wireless name or password is incorrect every time, but i know that it is indeed not.

Iv tried over and over for the last week or so. Tried resetting my router and everything i could think of, but i cant get it to work. Not trying to run my ethernet cable around all my stuff again.

I really really would appreciate any help i could get, Thanks.

I dont know what tbs you have, but I have the x31s which have a separate volume control for the chat. If the mic wire is not plugged in, there is no control for chat voulume.

Perhaps if yours works the same, a broken wire for the mic could possibly cause yuo to not have control of the volume.

 

Have you tried holding the Xbox logo on the front of your console until it powers down and restarting and trying again? That helped me when I had this issue once.

 

this happened to me a few times, power off the xbox by pressing and holding the xbox logo on the front of the xbox till it powers off. once powered off, unplug the power cable from the back of the xbox (not from the wall) for 2-5 minutes. Plug it back in,
power it up and re-sign in. you will still need to insert your wifi password, but it should now accept it.

Awesome! I'm glad to hear that, but a note for anyone else reading this post, I believe unplugging it is necessary. Someone tried just the power cycle and it didn't work, but a full shutdown and unplugging it fixed it.

 

ThIs does fix the issue temporarily, but it keeps happening for me. Disconnects, hard resets, and re-entry of passwords are not at all acceptable.
